SAiD Fellows

Each year, the SAiD’s selects a class of 20 candidates for the African Exchange Initiative. The African Exchange class is a core group of young leaders representing multiple countries and a wide range of fields. The group meets during the annual UNGA Summit where they explore critical issues and engage with our global partner.

SAiD’s African Exchange Fellowship Program is designed to amplify the voice and impact of inspiring African’s in Diaspora from around the world that are actively advocating for and working to create an impact in their communities or back in their home country. At the beginning of each summit, one day is dedicated to welcoming members, while the two days that follow serve as a forum, workshops, meeting for all members of the African Exchange fellows. A fellow can collaborate, share best practices, foster innovation, build community, celebrate success, influence global / Africa agendas, and find new ways to translate their vision into action—together. We are creating a global community that aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Goal 11: Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable
